The Club had 13 girls represent us today at a WAG (Women's Artistic Gymnastics) competition.

Our Level 2 girls all new to this level and one who had never competed in WAG looked amazing and did an awesome job and brought home great results in a field of 52 entrants.

  • Isabella came first on Bars, second on Beam, third on Vault and 5th on Floor.  She was also the overall winner in this level.  Well done Isabella!
  • Anna came second on Floor and 6th on Beam and 4th overall
  • MacKenzie came 4th on Beam and 7th on Floor and 7th overall
  • Nicole came 5th on Beam and 8th on Floor and 9th overall

Coaches Dana and James were so proud of their girls.

Our Level 3 girls also brought home some amazing results in a field of 50 gymnasts with Meg and Jasmine competing for the first time at this level.

  • Azailea came first on Beam, second on Bars, third on Floor and 8th on Vault.  She was also the overall winner in this level.  Well done Azailea!
  • Jasmine came second on Floor and 8th overall
  • Claire came third on Bars, 6th on Vault and 6th on Floor and 4th overall
  • Meg came 5th on Vault and 8th on Floor and 7th overall

Coach Dana is over the moon with these results also

Next came Level 4 with Chante having been at the competition since 7am as the boys' coach and with Emily unwell and having taken James' classes this morning, our team of 5 took the competition floor in a field of 25.  Following in the footsteps of our previous athletes they too managed some amazing results

  • Claudia came second on Beam, third on Floor and third on Vault and was the overall winner of Level 4.  Wow!!!
  • Chloe came second on Vault, third on Beam, 4th on Bars and 7th on Floor and was second overall!!
  • Chante came first on Vault, first on Floor, 6th on Beam and 8th on Bars and third overall - another great result.
  • Emily came first on Beam, 5th on Vault, 5th on Bars and 7th on Floor and was 4th overall.
  • And last but not least our youngest competitor at this level Keeley, who has recently overcome a 3 year long fear of jumping to high bar to come third on Bars and 6th on Vault.  She also came 6th overall.

Coach Dana cannot express how pleased she is with the way the girls worked today - she is certainly smiling after today's results.
